SYMMETRY REDEFINED

Throughout most of my life, I always had the urge to achieve symmetry in everything I did. I needed the sense of balance to preserve my peace of mind and silence the voices in my head. But all that changed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After my mastectomy, I have had no choice but to tame the beast of compulsion. Thanks to the image that confronts me in the mirror everyday.

Now I am mastering the art of finding gratification in whatever comes my way. Symmetry can be subjective after all.

MOTHER-DAUGHTER TALK

Walking and talking with my daughter on a recent vacation we took.
Trying to squeeze in every word of wisdom at every chance I get,
just in case I don't make it any further than this.
